Privacy Policy

Daily Draft is a daily pick-five puzzle game where players draft items from a board and compete on leaderboards. This policy explains how your information is collected, used, and stored.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for account authentication and password recovery.
• Username — a public display name you choose, shown on leaderboards.
• Draft submissions — your picks, scores, and results for each puzzle you play.
• League memberships — which open and private leagues you have joined.
• Notification preferences — which notification types you have enabled and your preferred reminder time.
• Push notification token — a device-specific token used to deliver push notifications if you opt in.
• Theme preference — your light or dark mode selection, stored locally on your device.

3. How Your Information Is Stored

Your account data, draft submissions, league information, and notification preferences are stored on Supabase, a cloud-hosted database platform. Supabase stores data in secure, managed PostgreSQL databases. Key details:

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
• Supabase provides row-level security (RLS) policies so users can only access their own data unless it is intended to be public (e.g., leaderboard entries).
• Your password is handled by Supabase Auth and is never stored in plain text — it is hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
• Leaderboard entries (username, score, rank) are visible to other players as part of the game experience.

Some preferences (theme mode, tutorial completion status) are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are never transmitted to our servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your account and allow you to sign in.
• Record and display your draft picks, scores, and rankings.
• Show your username on public leaderboards.
• Manage league memberships and standings.
• Send push notifications you have opted into (draft reminders, league invites, new seasons).
• Allow password recovery via email.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

Daily Draft uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and server-side functions. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Expo — push notification delivery. Expo Privacy Policy.
• Google Play / Apple App Store — app distribution. Their respective privacy policies apply to app downloads and payments.

7. Push Notifications

Push notifications are entirely optional. If you enable them, a device-specific push token is stored in our database to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings screen or through your device's system settings. Disabling notifications removes your push token from active use.

8. Data Retention

Your account data and game history are retained as long as your account exists. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at dailydraftapp@gmail.com and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Daily Draft is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices

• Notifications — enable or disable specific notification types in Settings.
• Theme — switch between light and dark mode in Settings.
• Account deletion — contact us at dailydraftapp@gmail.com to request account deletion.

12. International Users

Daily Draft is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
